Several issues with the room: (1) underneath the mattress had some weird fluff as it looked like it never been cleaned before (2) the shower was making a whistling sound (it's old) (3) the water backed up every 1/2 hour (see pic) until maintenance fixed it and (4) the 2 sinks were slow to drain.
I was going to complain about the parking but we were tired so just went to the room. The room was at the Ipanema tower 3rd floor. Another said to use valet parking but that was at least a 40 mins wait. We asked the security if there were hotel guests parking and they just brushed us off and said that we were stuck like the rest of the people. Little did we know that the Rio was hosting a Winter Carnival at part of the parking areas and it literally took us 1.5 hours to find parking. My family decided to stay at the Rio because: (1) off the strip so hopefully less people as we like our quiet (2) closer to the chinatown area and (3) we took advantage of the comp nights offer from Total Rewards.
